The Bridal Party
Bridesmaids
Katherine Begor – Maid of Honor
Most of our pictures involve some sort of silly hats on our heads.
Molly and Kate are cousins, so they likely met at Grammy’s house when they were babies and toddlers. Kate and Molly decided to move from Philadelphia/Wilmington to Charlotte one late night at the Rusty Rudder in Dewey Beach, Delaware in 2008, never realizing they’d meet their future husbands in North Carolina. Kate is an attorney in Charlotte, specializing in real estate and property law. In her free time, Kate enjoys Carolina Panthers games, organizing things, her Chihuahua mix dog Bambi, and generally being awesome.
Ansley Elfmont Ross - Bridesmaid
Taken on a weekend to Charleston, South Carolina, Like most of their trips together, the weekend was spent consuming lots of food and beverages, gossiping, and getting some sunshine.
Ansley and Molly met when they both moved to Philadelphia and barely knew a soul. Having both been in Delta Gamma in college (Molly at the University of Georgia, Ansley at the University of Miami), they both looked up the local alumnae chapter, and went to a “blind” meetup with another local alum. That alum left after one drink, but Ansley and Molly stayed until Molly almost missed the last train home. They became fast friends, exploring Philadelphia, one BYOB restaurant and shopping trip at King of Prussia at a time. While Ansley moved back to her home city of Miami, and Molly moved to Charlotte, they enjoy getting together as often as possible to gossip and have a relaxing weekend. Ansley works in non-profit development, and enjoys spending time with her awesome son, Austin.
Amanda Reeves Gordon – Bridesmaid
Fun fact: Amanda's outdoor wedding, in gorgeous Beaufort, South Carolina, was blessed with a massive rainstorm. All who attended danced the night away, enjoyed hand-rolled cigars from the on-site cigar roller, and had the time of their lives.
Amanda was born in Lynchburg, and lived there until she was 7. Amanda and Molly met in 2012 but have become fast friends, antique hunting pals, and bargain shopping buddies. Amanda graduated from the University of South Carolina, so Molly and Amanda talk about everything EXCEPT college football rivalries. She married Paul Gordon in 2014. She owns and runs a nanny agency in Greenville & Florence, South Carolina, and in her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and decorating their beautiful home they recently purchased. On February 5, 2016, Amanda gave birth to her first child, the handsome Henry Allen Gordon. She is excited to be returning to Lynchburg for our wedding and getting a taste of the Texas Inn for the first time in decades!
Stacey Turner Pritchett - Bridesmaid
Molly and Stacey at Stacey's 2013 wedding. Molly is in awe of Stacey's organizing skills - she planned her beautiful wedding, without a planner, in less than five months, and has been known to enjoy organizing and decluttering Molly's house.
Stacey was born and raised in Lynchburg and had many mutual friends with Molly, but they never ended up meeting until they both went to a group weekend in Myrtle Beach. When others heard they would be in the same place at the same time, they all said “oh goodness…they are two of a kind, they’re going to be best friends.” They were right. The two petite blonde girls from Lynchburg haven’t shut up since. Molly was a bridesmaid in Stacey’s wedding to Garey Pritchett in 2013, and later that year, Garey and Stacey built a home and moved in just in time to welcome Camden, their son and first child. In December of 2015, Camden got a beautiful sister, Emma. Stacey is a nurse, and enjoys chasing after her adorable children and spending time with her family and friends.
Groomsmen
Pictures coming soon, statutes of limitation have not yet fully expired.
Brent Loope - Best Man
Andrew and Brent have been best friends since kindergarten and spent many years playing sports, playing videogames, complaining about people, talking about nothing, and holding out hope for the Baltimore Orioles win a World Series in their lifetimes. In grade school, Brent and Andrew had a magic act and even placed ads in the local newspaper to drum up business. Brent avidly follows English Premier League Soccer, "offers constructive criticism" to kids on XBOX live, is married to his wife Kendra, and juggles three careers as a teacher, a high school girls' soccer coach, and a Realtor.
Brent still has the box of magic tricks.
Morgan Goad - Groomsman
Morgan and Andrew became friends when Morgan moved from Lynchburg to Buchanan area in their teens, where he began hosted bonfires in which nobody recalls what was burned. They spent their teen years playing ping-pong at Morgan’s house, listening to music, and repeatedly listening to Brent attempt Hotel California on the guitar. After college, Andrew and Morgan traveled together to St. John in a work exchange, making unforgettable memories cliff jumping, attending happy hours, and taking ice cold showers (Andrew's note: separate… with dividers… and no eye contact). In St. John, Morgan met Katie, who he has convinced to marry him in August of 2016. Strange fact: Molly's mom was Morgan's fifth grade teacher.
Morgan is an event coordinator for the Richmond Coliseum, and recently hosted Disney Princesses on Ice. He secretly enjoyed it.
Kris Teaford - Groomsman
Kris Teaford is a renowned teacher who will probably be late to the wedding but will still look good doing it. Kris, if you are reading this, the ceremony starts at noon, you should be there at 7 am. Kris and Andrew have been friends for many years, playing soccer together at James River High School, but not enjoying having the cross country coach double as the head soccer coach. Kris loves the Virginia Tech Hokies, King George Strait, and a nice ice cold Old Milwaukee. Andrew has learned a lot from Kris, including how to legendarily sport a plastic parrot on the shoulder as well as a fake mustache at a Jimmy Buffet concert.
