Molly was born and raised in Lynchburg, Virginia.  She received her Bachelors of Journalism Arts from the Henry Grady College of Journalism at the University of Georgia and her MBA from Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts.  After living in Atlanta, Boston and Philadelphia, Molly moved to Charlotte in 2008.  She is employed by CBRE Global Corporate Solutions as a Senior Business Analyst and has been on the Bank of America account since 2008.  Molly loves drawing, painting, writing, working on the house, and being on the water.  She’s a longtime fan of good design, the Georgia Bulldogs, the Boston Red Sox, horses, and Bruce Springsteen.  She doesn’t take herself too seriously and is terrible at organization.

Andrew was born and raised in the same house in Buchanan, Virginia, a small, sleepy town with zero stoplights but lots of antique stores.  He received his Bachelor of Science from Lynchburg College and spent several years working in environmental education/tourism in Virginia and St John in the US Virgin Islands before moving to Charlotte in 2011.  He works as a consultant for Cardno, an environmental engineering firm, remediating contaminated and polluted sites for clients in various industries.  Andrew loves science, marine life and conservation (particularly sharks), space exploration, making the yard look nice, playing guitar and drums, and hanging out with the dogs.  He’s a fan of the Baltimore Orioles, the Virginia Tech Hokies, Midwood Smokehouse Barbecue, the band Tool, and Lord of the Rings.

Together

After two giant sandwiches at Primanti Brothers in Pittsburgh.  You can tell we're Southerners because Molly forgot to bring a scarf and hat, and because Andrew has a toothpick.

Andrew and Molly grew up 45 minutes away from each other, and Andrew even went to college in Molly’s hometown, but they never crossed paths until they both moved to Charlotte, North Carolina.  Both introverts, they were introduced by an extrovert mutual friend with a knack for organizing group activities to force said introverts to interact.  They disagree on the day they met.  She says it was at a barbecue his roommate was hosting.  He says it was the next day when they went boating on Lake Norman with mutual friends.  We’ll let you decide who’s right.  After months of being friends, playing on the same flag football team, going on group vacations together, and Andrew hinting around at possibly being more, Andrew came over one night in 2013 to Molly’s house to watch TV.  Molly knew it was something special when Andrew did not, in fact, run away screaming when she suggested watching Civil War documentaries. Their first official date was the next day - eating Mexican food - and Molly nearly drove Andrew away by comingling the salsa and queso dips.  Against those blinding odds, they have been together ever since.  They enjoy watching movies, good barbecue, concerts, making each other laugh, and their two naughty but goofy dogs, Colonel Mustard and Harvey.  We can’t wait to see everyone together on our big day!
